Biography:
Dr. Ioanna-Efpraxia Parigoridi is an Academic Teaching Assistant at the University of Ioannina, with expertise in food chemistry, food technology, and environmental sample analysis. She holds a PhD in Food Chemistry and Technology, an MSc in Bioinorganic Chemistry, and a BSc in Chemistry. Her research focuses on innovative food packaging solutions, particularly recycled materials, and their impact on food safety and sustainability. Dr. Parigoridi has authored six peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial boards of academic journals. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing HACCP self-monitoring systems and is well-versed in major food safety standards including ISO 22000, IFS, FSSC, and BRC. Additionally, she is a certified Head Auditor for ISO 22000, contributing to both academic and industry advancements in food safety and quality assurance.

Dr. Parigoridi’s research interests lie at the intersection of food chemistry, food safety, and environmental sustainability. She focuses on the development and assessment of recycled food packaging materials, the chemical analysis of environmental and food samples, and the implementation of advanced food safety management systems. Her work also explores bioinorganic interactions in food systems, the optimization of HACCP protocols, and the integration of international food safety standards such as ISO 22000, IFS, and BRC to enhance quality assurance across the food supply chain.
