Biography:
Dr. Yousef Ahmed Al Shaabi holds a Doctorate in Emergency and Disaster Management from Sanaa University. He serves as an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing at Sana’a University and is the Coordinator of the Master's program in Emergency and Disaster Management at the Yemeni Council for Medical and Health Specializations.
Dr. Al Shaabi is also recognized as a National Expert in Emergency and Disaster Management and Hospital Resilience with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen. His academic and professional contributions focus on improving emergency preparedness and resilience in healthcare systems, with a particular emphasis on disaster management in challenging environments.
Research Interest:
Dr. Yousef Ahmed Al Shaabi's research interests focus on emergency and disaster risk management, hospital resilience, public health preparedness, crisis response systems, and capacity building in healthcare settings. He is particularly passionate about strengthening disaster preparedness and response mechanisms in conflict-affected and resource-limited environments. His work also explores policy development, risk assessment, and strategic planning to enhance resilience in healthcare infrastructure and communities.
