Biography:

Mr. Megha Raj Regmi is a distinguished environmental engineering researcher with over four decades of professional experience. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (1986, with Honors) from Ukraine and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering (2002) from the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

Mr. Regmi has dedicated his career to advancing knowledge and practice in water, wastewater, and environmental sanitation. Since beginning his professional journey in 1978, he has led numerous initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability. Notably, he served as the convener of the prestigious DEWASIN (IWA) International Conference held in Kathmandu, Nepal, in November 2009.

Currently, Mr. Regmi oversees three active research centers in Nepal, focusing on environmental protection and river conservation. He has authored multiple research papers published in international journals and serves as a reviewer for academic journals and conference proceedings, contributing significantly to the global environmental research community.

Mr. Megha Raj Regmi's research interests lie in the fields of environmental engineering, with a strong focus on water and wastewater management, environmental sanitation, and sustainable infrastructure development. He is particularly dedicated to addressing challenges related to urban water supply, river conservation, and climate-resilient sanitation systems. His work emphasizes integrated water resource management, pollution control strategies, and the development of eco-friendly technologies for environmental protection. Mr. Regmi is also deeply engaged in policy research and the implementation of community-based solutions for environmental sustainability in developing regions.
