Abstract Title: Assessment of the Current State of Botanical Diversity of the Western Kazakhstan Region
Biography:
Dr. Sitpayeva Gulnara Tokbergenovna serves as the General Director of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction” under the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Republic of Kazakhstan. A distinguished scientist, she holds a Doctorate in Biological Sciences and is an Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan. Dr. Sitpayeva’s primary research focuses on the flora and plant resources of Kazakhstan's steppe regions. Over her esteemed career, she has authored five monographs and published more than 200 scientific articles and theses, contributing significantly to the field of botany and environmental science. She has served as the scientific director for numerous projects, including those funded by Development Fund Institutions (DFI), Scientific and Technical Programs (STP), and international exchange programs. Her collaborative efforts extend globally, with partnerships involving Washington State University (USA), the Botanical Society of France, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Kongju National University (South Korea), and Osnabrück University (Germany), among others. Through her leadership and scientific endeavors, Dr. Sitpayeva has played a pivotal role in advancing the study and conservation of Kazakhstan's botanical diversity, fostering international collaboration, and mentoring future generations of researchers.
